Pray Without Ceasing

  1. S to experience God’s peace in her heart as she lays her burdens at Jesus feet.


UPDATES

  1. C’s mother has Stage 3 ovarian cancer. Tumour has been increasing in size steadily despite five cycles of chemotherapy. Pray for:

    • Oral medicine to be effective and side effects to decrease.

    • God’s grace and mercy to be with her.

    • Miraculous healing and salvation of C and her entire family and her sisters.

  2. G started her first job three weeks ago, following one year of treatment and recovery from brain cancer. Pray for:

    • God's grace and strength to sustain her with good memory and effectiveness at work.

    • Protection for her health, and to find joy despite the challenges of work.God's grace and strength to sustain her.

  3. Pray for A who is experiencing severe back ache of late. To remain focused on the Lord’s healing and to get her flu symptoms treated.

  4. G to find a good lawyer to handle her marital concerns. Pray for:

    • Courage to walk into a future of hope in Christ Jesus.

    • Restoration of relationship with loved ones.

    • Daughter to do well for her studies.

  5. Z had a brain bleed. Surgery done but she remains in coma. Thanksgiving more subtle movements noted of late. Pray for:

    • A miraculous recovery as the brain swelling diminishes.

    • God to be her healer 

  6. Growth found in RN’s uterus. Biopsy done. Pray for:

    • God’s intervention as an effective treatment plan is designed for her.

    • Good healing with faith and trust to see God’s work done. 

  7. E was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in April with spread to her lymph node and her bones. Begun bone treatment with targeted
    therapy. Pray for:

    • Rested dependence on the Lord for peace, mercy and miraculous healing from God.

    • Boldness and confidence to rise as she hopes to return to the workforce.

    • Bone to be strengthened with this treatment.

    • Thanksgiving for support she has received from the Cancer support group.

  8. K’s breast cancer has spread to her lungs. Her left lung has collapsed. Fluid has been drained out of her right lung. Pray for:

    • The Lord to help her breathe as she rests in His merciful hands and into His peace.

    • Pre-believing loved ones to meet Christ and receive salvation.

    • Her father, Mr Sim to be freed from migraines and to open his heart to God.

  9. CG’s (mother with two young children) cancer markers are stable as she continues with treatments. Pray for:

    • Victory over peritoneal cancer.

    • Strengthened to care for her family and young ones.

    • To continue to have good memory.

  10. The Lord’s mercy to restore FY as she continues to walk in faith. Pray for:

    • Miracle healing from cancer for FY.

    • Immunity to strengthen her miraculously each day.

    • Cancerous lump on her shoulder to shrink in size.

  2. Weekend Worship Services

    Pray for:

    • Our love for God to grow with a greater passion for worship, prayer and the Word, knowing that all things come from Him. 

    • Holiness: Pray for the convicting work of the Holy Spirit that we may seek to be holy as God is holy. 

    • Love: Pray that love and concern for one another will grow and for an atmosphere of love that all will know we are His disciples (John 13:35).

    • Preaching of the Word next weekend will be uplifting, inspiring and challenging. 

    • Thanksgiving for the smooth resumption of all on-site services as well as live-streamed online services (9.30am: Traditional and P&P). Also for the Prayer & Praise services at 9.30 and 11.30am in Wesley Hall. 

    • Blessings on YM, BeTween, CM and PSCom as leaders, teachers and students grow in the Lord studying the Word together.

    • Mandarin Ministry and Wesley Filipino Fellowship on site to have attendees blessed and encouraged in their walk with Christ.

    • Thanksgiving many have returned for community worship services. Worshippers to contribute towards a protected environment for all.  

    • Reconnection, unity and a prayerful heart to envelope the congregation as they worship on site or from home. 

  3. Staff

    Thanksgiving for:

    • His protection and grace over the staff team.

    Pray for all staff:

    • To seek growth and excellence in all they do, embrace change, have an open mind, and to faithfully fulfil what they are assigned to do.

    • To have love, unity and submission to God and to one another out of reverence for Christ.

    • To embrace Intentional Discipleship and incorporate this theme in their ministry programmes.

    • Good health and well-being as they seek to balance work, family and personal time.

    • Thank God for their families’ understanding and support, especially those with children who need their time and attention. God’s protection and providence on each family member; that even as they have sown to the Lord, they will reap abundantly.

    • Staff to depend on God for strength in times of difficulties, for peace in times of stress, and patience in times of pressure.

    • Continued protection over staff and volunteers who are keeping the church safe.

    • Understanding and patience from worshippers as duties are being carried out.

    • The 30 lay counsellors and their supportive spouse/family as they continue to give a significant portion of their time, energy and love to this ministry.

    • The Lord to lead and guide them, inside and outside the counselling room. May they have provision for their needs – both physical and spiritual and God to watch over their loved ones and families.

      • The Lord to keep their calling fresh in their hearts, renewing and refreshing our spirit for the work ahead, seeking God’s counsel daily, His wisdom and guidance as they help others. Adorn them with patience, peace, and joy for their work and for their loved ones and families to stay well and healthy.

    • WesleyMC clients with the following top five presenting issues pertaining to Stress & Anxiety, Marital Relationships, Family Relationships, Self-esteem and Grief: To find healing and strength through counselling to deal with the challenges – to draw close to God, and be renewed in His presence.

    • For the young adults (17 to 30 years) who are the highest representation among WesleyMC Counselling clients with predominant issues of Stress and Anxiety – to find strength with renewed minds to cope with the stress and anxieties of life. To know God personally, drawing closer to Him in their times of need, finding their identity in Christ. For pre-believers to encounter God and know Him through the counselling.
