Prayer

Pray Without Ceasing

NEW

  1. H to know that Jesus is her Lord and not to fear. Pray for her to build her relationship with Christ and be blessed with to courage, love and a sound mind.

UPDATES

  1. W recently had issues which affected his sight and was unable to read, write and drive. Feeling despondent. Pray for:

    • Restoration of eyesight with further corrective intervention.

    • Injection to successfully clear the blurring of the vision. 

  2. FY has Stage 4 cancer. The Lord’s mercy to restore FY as she walks in faith and receives chemotherapy. Pray for:

    • Immunity to increase as God gives her strength to live each day well.

    • New chemo drug to work and shrink existing cancer cells especially the lump on her shoulder.

    • Side effects of chemo to be minimal.

  3. Protect CW and her family as she goes through a difficult time in her life. God to vindicate and justice to prevail. Dismantle the schemes of the evil one.

  4. AC’s faith to arise each passing day. Thyroid levels to remain in the normal range. Pray for:

    • A surrendered life to God in health, career and relationship with God.

    • Thanksgiving for protection every day as she starts teaching again.

  5. LK had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Pray for an effective chemo cocktail treatment.

    • LK to be able to cope with chemo drugs given.

    • Strength for the family to support him on this journey.

  6. CG’s oncologist to have new and latest options for treatment of peritoneal cancer. CG is a mother of two young school children. Pray for a miracle. Strengthened immunity and a determination to battle on well for her young children.

  7. CL to call on Jesus in his time of need. Holy Spirit to touch him to have full physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. Pray for:

    • Healing of family relationships and blessings on his caregiver, his wife to continue with perseverance and faith.

    • CL to return to faith with full restoration and transformation in Jesus Christ.

  8. JY, 23 years old, was diagnosed with stomach cancer with metastasis to her ovaries. Pray for:

    • JY’s body to respond positively to the systemic chemo. Effective to grant full recovery.

    • The Lord to protect, comfort, heal and envelop J and the family with peace.

    • JY to surrender and to trust in God.

  9. S, 25 years old, has lymphoma and is receiving chemo treatment. Pray for S:

    • To trust God to heal her and to walk in faith.

    • Strengthen her body and give her good appetite to care for her two young children.

    • God’s protective covering to handle difficult family demands well and respectfully.

  10. Z who had a brain bleed had 3D Clinorplasty Skull Implant done on 22 May. Thanksgiving surgery went well. Pray for:

    • The Lord to re-awaken Z’s brain cells with excellent healing of her memory and faculties.

    • Caregivers to be continually strengthened to love and care for her.

    • Protection for husband ML as he travels for work overseas.

  4. Methodist Welfare Service (MWS) Oct 2025 – God Loves Every Nation
    “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” - Isaiah 56:7

    Thanksgiving for:
    • MWS Annual General Meeting September 2025

    • The members of MWS Board of Governance (BOG) who have completed their season of service. The continuing and new members who will hold office for the new 2-year term. God’s wisdom to lead them according to His purpose for MWS.

    Pray for:
    • MWS’ leaders, staff, volunteers, beneficiaries and our families. All to experience Christ’s love regardless of race, language or religion.

    Healthcare Services
    • MWS CEO Calvin Ngo shared in their recently published Annual Report some of the Singapore government’s plans to shift towards more community-based and person-centred care to support the ageing population. MWS Healthcare Services Group is evolving in response to these national healthcare strategies. God’s wisdom upon their CEO and Dr Raymond Leong (Group Director, MWS Healthcare Services) as they lead the Healthcare Services Group to adjust to the government’s initiative.

  5. TRAC Conference 2025 | Wesley Methodist Church, 24-27 Nov

    Thanksgiving for:
    • The overall planning, preparations and coordination for hosting the 50th Annual TRAC conference has been coming along well.

    • The diligence and unity of the TRAC Core team. The dedicated and responsible work of the TRAC working committee(representatives from 13 MCOs), all contributing in different ways to prepare to host and bless our TRAC delegates.

    Pray for:
    • God will continue to grant the organisers His wisdom and strength, especially to fine tune all the operational details as we close in towards the conference period.

    • Good response of inter-generational volunteers to come forth to serve and shine at the TRAC conference.

    • A refreshing and inspiring volunteer training sessions happening on the 25 Oct (2-4pm) and 1 Nov(10-12pm).

    • Good sign-up from the TRAC delegates, for the Heritage Tours and Nature Walks that are being organised.

  6. Christian Outreach & Social Concerns (COSC)

    Thanksgiving for:
    • The launch of Wesley@Besar (16 Feb 2025), COSC weekend (22-23 Feb 2025) and this year’s church theme “Discipleship in Society”. There has been an increased church-wide awareness of COSC and serving opportunities in COSC Sub-Ministries. Many church members signed up to serve.

    • COSC partnerships with Small Group Ministry, Youth Ministry, BeTween, Children’s Ministry and Creative Expression Ministry that many volunteered to serve in June Family Carnival and Home Cleaning Project, and the monthly block parties for JBAAC seniors in this year.

    • The launch of MWS Nursing Home – Eunos, the 4th Sundayworship service for residents, and different MCOs and volunteers reaching out and befriending the residents.

    • This year they saw the fruit of 3Bs (Blessing, Belonging, Believing)strategy: several clients/beneficiaries believed and accepted Jesus into their lives!

    Pray for:

    COSC Leadership (Main Committee and Sub-Ministries Committees)
    • God’s wisdom and discernment on His will and direction for year 2026 and beyond. Strategic plans that will reach out to the least, the last, and the lost.

    COSC 8 Sub-Ministries
    • Deaf Ministry, Wesley Befrienders to Older Persons, Wesley Financial Assistance, Wesley Golden Years Get-together, Wesley Migrant Ministry, Wesley Prison Ministry, Wesley Youth Centre, Zhen Xin Hua. Unity among COSC leadership, volunteers and staff team, that they may grow from strength to strength serving together as the Body of Christ.

    COSC Volunteers
    • Volunteers to be filled with the joy of the Lord as they serve in various COSC sub-ministries. Volunteers to be sensitive to Holy Spirit’s guidance as they befriend clients and beneficiaries. Deeper relationship, building of trust and opportunities where volunteers can share word of encouragement, their testimony, or gospel message.

    • God’s blessings and protection over the volunteers and their families.

    • Volunteers to grow in their personal discipleship and walk with the Lord.

    Christmas Outreaches and Clients/beneficiaries:
    • COSC Sub-Ministries outreach event organising committees: smooth planning and preparation as they organise events, activities and visitations to clients/beneficiaries.

    • Protection, strength, good health, wisdom and time management for COSC volunteers and staff as they go about organising these Christmas outreach events.

    • Clients and beneficiaries to enjoy each program event, enjoy good fellowship with volunteers befriending them. Through these outreach events, clients & beneficiaries to be touched by the love shown by the volunteers and be blessed by care of the church community.

    • Clients and beneficiaries to experience the love of Christ and desire to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
