Prayer

Pray Without Ceasing

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold. From those who walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11

UPDATES

  1. J is experiencing disturbances at home. Pray for her courage to arise and to receive new hope in her Lord:

    • J to be freed from demonic and spiritual struggles as His Lordship is recognised and trusted.

    • Her home to be a place where peace and His holiness is always present as deliverance from entrapment is conducted.

  2. FT to experience God’s miracle of healing of nerve pain in her right leg, spurs on her vertebrae, arthritis on right knee and ankle. Swelling and cysts on her right hip tendon to miraculously be uprooted in the name of Jesus. Pray for:

    • FT‘s faith to arise as she seeks God daily.

    • Son to be able to find employment soon.

  3. Thanksgiving that LC’s abdominal wound is healing from within as antibiotic drip expedites it. Speedy recovery so she can begin chemotherapy again.

  4. H to know that Jesus is her Lord and not to fear. Pray for her to build her relationship with Christ and be blessed with courage, love and a sound mind. To respond to love and ministry rendered by caregivers and those who love her.

  5. FY has Stage 4 cancer. The Lord’s mercy to restore FY as she continues with chemotherapy. Pray for:

    • Immunity to increase as God gives her strength to continue to work and live each day well.

    • New chemo drug to work and shrink existing cancer cells and the lump on her shoulder.

    • Side effects of chemo to be minimal.

  6. Protect CL and her family as she goes through a difficult time in her life. God to vindicate and justice to prevail. Dismantle the schemes of the evil one. Pray for:

    • Wisdom for strategies to take and good decision making.

    • Thanksgiving for God’s peace, promises and assurances.

    • Protection for CL’s health and well being.

  7. AC’s faith to arise each passing day. Thyroid levels to remain in the normal range. Pray for:

    • Mercy and healing and a surrendered life to God in health, career and relationship. And witnessing of medical miracles in AC’s life.

    • Thanksgiving for protection every day as she starts teaching again.

    • Skull infection to heal.

  8. LK had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Pray for an effective chemo cocktail treatment.

    • LK to be able to cope with chemo drugs given.

    • Strength for the family to support him on this journey.

  9. CG’s oncologist to have new and latest options for treatment of peritoneal cancer. CG is a mother of two young school children. Thanksgiving for determination to battle on well for her young children. Faith to arise as she is God’s beloved daughter, who is also a wife to a young family. New chemo drug to help her on her recovery journey.

  10. CL to call on Jesus in his time of need. Holy Spirit to touch him to have full physical (injured hand and slipped disc), emotional and spiritual recovery. Pray for:

    • Healing of family relationships and blessings on his caregiver, as his wife to continue with perseverance and faith.

    • CL to return to faith with full restoration and transformation in Jesus Christ.

    • Spouse to continually receive the fountain of living water as she walks faithfully with God daily.

  11. JY, 23 years old, was diagnosed with stomach cancer with metastasis to her ovaries. Pray for:

    • JY’s body to respond positively to the systemic chemo. Effective to grant full recovery.

    • The Lord to protect, comfort, heal and envelop J and the family with peace.

    • JY to surrender and to trust in God.

  12. S, 25 years old, has lymphoma and is receiving chemo treatment. S will have bone marrow transplant on 5 Nov. Pray for S:

    • To trust God to completely heal her with her children’s cord blood.

    • Strengthen her body and give her good energy to care for her two young children.

    • God’s protective covering to handle difficult family demands well and respectfully.

  13. Z who had a brain bleed had 3D Clinorplasty Skull implant done. Pray for:

    • The Lord to re-awaken Z’s brain cells with excellent healing of her memory and faculties.

    • Caregivers to be continually strengthened to love and care for her.

    • Protection for husband ML as he travels for work overseas.

    • Our love for God to grow with a greater passion for worship, prayer and the Word, knowing that all things come from Him.

    • Love: Pray that love and concern for one another will grow (John 13:35).

    • Thanksgiving for the smooth resumption of all onsite services & live-streamed Saturday worship services (YM & TSS), Sunday worship services (9.30 am: Traditional and 9.30 and 11.30 m P&P 2.30pm MM in Wesley Hall and WFF at Plaza Hall).

    • Blessings on BeTween, CM and PS Com as leaders, teachers and students grow in the Lord.

    • Reconnection, unity and a prayerful heart to envelope the congregation as they worship onsite or from home.

    • Thanksgiving for all our volunteers serving tirelessly in our worship services.

  3. Staff

    Pray for all staff:
    • His protection and grace over the staff team.

    • To seek growth and excellence in all they do, embrace change, have an teachable hearts and to carry out their roles faithfully.

    • To have love, unity and submission to God and to one another out of reverence for Christ.

    • To embrace Intentional Discipleship in society and incorporate this theme in their ministry programmes.

    • Thank God for their families’ understanding and support, especially those with children and elderly family members who need their time and attention. God’s protection and providence on each family member; that even as they have sown to the Lord, they will be fruitful.

    • Staff to depend on God for strength in times of difficulties, for peace in time of stress, and patience in times of pressure.

    • Understanding and patience from worshippers as duties are being carried out.

  4. Methodist Welfare Services (MWS) – November 2025

    Thanksgiving for:
    • The privilege to serve in His courts through the work of MWS.

    • The many volunteers who reach out to their beneficiaries during the year-end festive period.

    Pray for:
    • FY2026/27 Workplanning & Budgeting As they began planning for the next financial year, God to be their Masterplanner. Help them to stay focused on God’s mission for them to support families and individuals living in vulnerable circumstances, grant them favour with God-fearing partners, and open and close doors as God wills, so that plans and resources will contribute towards the extension of His kingdom.

    • Year-end Festivities – a Time to Bless God to watch over and bless the volunteers as well as their beneficiaries and staff, strengthen their relationships/friendships so that they may all grow as a loving community. All their staff and beneficiaries will understand the meaning of Christmas and be assured of God’s love for them. 

  5. Young Adult Network

    Spiritual Health:
    • Young Adults (YAs) will desire to seek God and to find their identity in Him rather than the value of the world, which can call them to confirm to societal pressures regarding identity, sexuality, success and truth.

    • Good emotional, mental and physical health as they face the pressures of the world.

    Community:
    • YAs will find community that can spur them on to love and good deeds; a community that is characterised by genuine love, vulnerability, and accountability to one another.

    • Seeking YAs who are coming to our church to find the church to be hospitable and accepting. 

    Transitions:
    • A hunger and desire for YAs to seek God and to discern their life decisions rooted in His word.

    • As many consider future pathways in life, that some might consider vocational Christian ministry as a viable option. 

    Leaders and Wider-Church:
    • Wisdom and discernment of Young Adult Network Committee, Pastors and Leaders, that they may have divine wisdom as they teach, counsel and shepherd this generation to love God and love their neighbour.

    • The church will continue to care for and disciple YAs, and that YAs in turn will love and honour those in authority. 

  6. TRAC Conference | 24-27 Nov 2025

    Thanksgiving for:
    • The 250 volunteers and 100 staff team members that are serving at this conference. Pray that the Lord will strengthen and protect them as they serve together in love.

    • The 8 Usher/Server ICs that have stepped up. May His wisdom and grace guide them to lead and unite the various usher/server teams.

    • The working committee members from the various MCOs.

    Pray for:
    • The team leaders and volunteers to serve with joy and gladness in
      their respective roles and segments.

    • Unity of hearts during the Conference as delegates discern from God and discuss the plans for the next few years. Discernment on President Reuben especially regarding the appointments of pastors for 2026.

    • The workshop speakers; Rev Dr Bernard Chow (worship), Rev Dr Aaron Tay (witness) and Rev Ivan Tan (welcome), that the Lord will use them to inspire and empower all delegates.

    • Bishop Philip Lim and the service team as they minister at the TRAC opening service.

    • Ps Reuben and the service team as they minister at the TRAC closing service.

    • Every delegates to have a great time of conferencing and to be richly encouraged by the Lord, and to experience God’s love through Wesley’s warm and welcoming hospitality.

    • Safety, good health and the Lord’s protection upon the entire Conference and all who are involved.
