Pray Without Ceasing

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.

NEW

1. S’s dad was diagnosed with lung cancer.

   • To open his heart to Jesus and receive Christ as his Lord and Savior.

   • Peace and trust to allow God to journey with him through his treatment.

2. CL to meet Jesus in his time of need. Holy Spirit to touch him to have full physical, emotional and spiritual recovery.

   • Median nerve up to elbow and any other nerves that are affected to recover as strength returns to his left hand.

   • Family relationship with spouse and children to be rekindled as God heals them to respond in love to one another.

3. Pray for MCK, 52 years old,who had brain surgery on 9 May, to remove a blood clot.

   • Brain swelling to settle and recovery to be swift and complete.

   • Mercy for her to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit.

UPDATES

4. J, 23 years old, was diagnosed with stomach cancer with metastasis to her ovaries. Pray for a miracle with complete healing to make her whole again. Giving thanks that she has accepted Jesus as her Lord and personal Saviour. The Lord to protect, comfort and heal her.

5. A had a successful liver transplant on 16 Apr. Protection and mercy as his body adjusts to recovery and to heal. He has been discharged home. Pray for:

   • Continual good nursing management at home.

   • Strengthened family ties as they unite and rally around to support one another.

   • A to experience God’s loving miraculous mercy shown to him.

   • Family to draw close together and return to walking in the Lord

6. R’s husband had a stroke and was admitted in a nursing home. God to continue to be her strength. Unity and comfort as the family gather for his care and support. R to have peace in her heart as she misses him.

7. E to recover from emotional heartache and betrayal in a relationship. Pray for:

   • E to rely on God’s love which is constant and true.

   • Jesus to help E and family with full recovery.

   • E to be protected from people with ill intentions, to embrace healthy activities and be released from social media addiction.

8. LW has Stage 4 Ovarian cancer with spread to liver, stomach lining and large intestines. Thanksgiving the wound healed well for chemo to begin. Porta catheter inserted on 25 Apr. Pray for:

   • Chemotherapy dose to be effective to arrest the spread.

   • Blood count to improve as infection around the pancreas clears with antibiotics. Body temperature to remain stable.

   • Faith and trust in God as family spend precious time together.

9. A who was baptised is now struggling with her faith because of setbacks. Distrust to be removed so she can see Jehovah’s mercy in her life. A to be protected from her recent predicament with the law.

10. Thanksgiving for a successful brain surgery for A. Pray for:

    • Excellent healing to continue with good memory and all faculties intact and well.

    • Pre-believing family members to come to know Jesus as Lord and saviour.

    • A to trust in God for the next treatment steps and with courage, to bravely battle on.

    • Protection as she embarks on a dream trip with husband and close friends.

    • Good sleep every night and her body to heal miraculously with God’s divine intervention.

11. WW, 68 years old, to open her heart to Jesus as she receives love and support from her family during her breast cancer treatment. First chemo was on 26 Feb. Pray for:

    • Healing and restoration.

    • Side effects of bone aches and weakness to be gone. Bones to be strengthened instead.

    • A heart to open to salvation in Jesus Christ.

12. S, 25 years old, has lymphoma and just had her third round of chemo treatment. Pray for S:

    • To have hope beyond her understanding and to trust God to heal her.

    • Strengthened body and good appetite, to be physically strong to care for her two young children.

    • Faith to arise as family and loved ones look to God for mercy.

13. AL was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Pray for God’s peace for the family and wisdom for doctors to treat AL. Pray for:

    • AL to cope with treatment intervention.

    • Side effects to be minimised and God’s peace to settle in her heart.

    • Increased appetite with good bowel movements.

14. D’s mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Cancer markers have increased and she was admitted for abdominal discomfort due to suspected bowel obstruction. Pray for:

    • D’s mother to be strong and courageous to battle with the Lord by her side.

    • Strength for D to cope with caregiving and working.

    • Protection over the family as they support one another during this tough time.

    • Brother to recover from surgery and sister-in-law’s sprained back to heal with proper rest and physiotherapy.

    • Father who has kidney issues to receive salvation.

15. Z had a brain bleed and had brain surgery done. Pray for:

    • Z to receive the possible from God which is a miracle healing. The Lord to re-awaken her brain cells to life again.

    • God to be her healer and strength for her husband M and their children.

    • Safety as a planned 3D Clinorplasty Skull Implant surgery is scheduled for 22 May.

    • M to continue to trust God and be safe as he travels for work
      overseas.

16. God’s mercy to restore FY as she walks in faith and receives chemotherapy. Pray for:

    • Chemo drug to effectively stop the cancer from spreading and its side effects to reduce.

    • Immunity to increase as God gives her strength to live each day well.

    • Cancer lump on her shoulder to shrink.

    • Thanksgiving for the smooth resumption of all onsite services & live-streamed Saturday worship services (YM & TSS), Sunday worship services (9.30 am: Traditional and 9.30 and 11.30am P&P 2.30pm MM in Wesley Hall and WFF at Plaza Hall).

    • Blessings on BeTween, CM and PS Com as leaders, teachers and students grow in the Lord.

    • Reconnection, unity and a prayerful heart to envelope the congregation as they worship onsite or from home.

    • Thanksgiving for all our volunteers serving tirelessly in our worship services.

19. Staff

    Pray for all staff:

    • His protection and grace over the staff team.

    • To seek growth and excellence in all they do, embrace change, have an teachable hearts and to carry out their roles faithfully

    • To have love, unity and submission to God and to one another out of reverence for Christ.

    • To embrace Intentional Discipleship in society and incorporate this theme in their ministry programmes.

    • Thank God for their families’ understanding and support, especially those with children and elderly family members who need their time and attention. God’s protection and providence on each family member; that even as they have sown to the Lord, they will be fruitful.

    • Staff to depend on God for strength in times of difficulties, for peace in times of stress, and patience in times of pressure.

    • Understanding and patience from worshippers as duties are being carried out.

20. Crisis Relief Wesley (CRW)

    Thanksgiving:

    • Safety of the teams sent overseas.

    • Progress in transitioning CRW to Missions.

    • God’s wisdom and guidance in starting the review of CRW Teaching Manual.

    • Lessons learned that have improved the ministry’s workflow.

    • Supportive and encouraging leadership.

    • Committed and faithful volunteers and Committee members.

    • God’s provision of funds for relief work and training.

    Pray for:

    • Completion of the CRW Teaching Manual review.

    • God’s guidance for the CRW Committee meeting and retreat on 17 May.

    • Alignment and flourishing of CRW and Missions for God’s glory.

    • Effective preparation for the upcoming Crisis Relief Training in July.
