CHRISTIAN BELIEVER, a study of Christian doctrines, that is, what the church believes and teaches, may assist in deepening your understanding of the Christian faith.

The Christian Believer study

• focuses on classical teachings of the Christian faith, presenting and interpreting them in a way that participants can understand through the use of words, symbols and hymns
• draws on Scripture to receive what God has revealed
• read and study historical creeds, prayers, hymns and selected writings from several Christian authors like Augustine, Karl Barth, John Calvin, Martin Luther and John Wesley
• Your key texts are the Bible, Study Manual and Book of Readings (which comprises key statements of Christian writings from theologians and church council).

Requirements

• Although you will be reading Scripture, this is NOT strictly Bible Study. This is a study of biblical doctrines that requires a good understanding of the Bible.
• Eligible participants are expected to have graduated from a minimum of 3 DISCIPLE Bible Study phases.
• 32 Weekly Sessions via ZOOM
• Be prepared to commit at least 45 minutes each day, six days a week, for reading and studying, taking notes and prayer.
• Your key texts are the Bible, Study Manual and Book of Readings (which comprises key statements of Christian writings from theologians and church council).
