SYNOPSIS
Life in Singapore moves fast. With work demands, family responsibilities, and constant digital noise, many Christians long for a closer walk with God yet struggle to sustain spiritual depth. Though God is near, our souls often feel hurried and distracted.
This session offers a practical and hope-filled way forward. It invites believers to rediscover the ancient, biblical wisdom of a Rule of Life—a simple, grace- shaped trellis supporting spiritual growth in a pressured world. Rooted in Scripture, the early church, monastic tradition, and Wesleyan heritage, a Rule of Life is not a checklist but a Spirit-led pattern of rhythms that helps us abide in Christ in ordinary days.
Two key dimensions:
Inner Rule—cultivating postures like humility, attentiveness, honesty, and gratitude, allowing God to form our hidden heart from the inside out.
Outer Rule—shaping rhythms such as prayer, Scripture reflection, Sabbath rest, family discipleship, Small Group life, spiritual friendships, and service that anchor us.
Formation is never solo. A Rule of Life is embraced within the life of the church, from our shared rhythms of worship, Communion, prayer, and ministry. Families are also encouraged to cultivate simple spiritual practices that gently form loved ones in the way of Christ.
Whether you are a busy parent, young adult, working professional, student, caregiver, or retiree, this session provides practical handles to craft a sustainable, life-giving Rule of Life for your season.
